Around 1155 the Babenberg Duke Henry II. called Irish monks to the Danube but the Viennese people always named them "die Schotten" (the Scots). This designation has been maintained and kept alive in the names of many streets and houses. The name "Am Schottenpoint" (Scot's hill) can be traced to that origin too.
Despite its easily accessible location on the Währingerstraße, you benefit from our courtyard-facing rooms and enjoy with us a quiet stay.
